Spruce at the Waldorf Astoria Park City

Spruce is located inside the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Hotel at the base of The Canyons Resort. The interior is lavish, elegant, contemporary, masculine chic mixed with funky glam. Rayna has a particularly ultra modern taste so we both loved the rich interior. With so much natural light pouring in, this is a spectacular setting for lunch!

Butternut Squash Soup.  This was too watery and would have made a more appropriate broth or sauce for something than served by itself.

Seared Salmon and Wild Rice.  Salmon was pan-seared to perfection. This was pretty good but ordinary. The soup would have been a nice sauce for this dish.

Mussels.  Looked plump and juicy, comfort food.

Cappuccino.

Creme Brulee.  Torched sugar layer was over-torched and way too bitter ;'(

We covered everything from movies, plays, teen heartthrobs back when and hunky actors (River then and now Joaquin Phoenix), kids, birds and the bees, Howard Stern, New York, girls summer camps, hotel gossip, food, food and more food... It was so fun and fabulous lunch, Rayna! xoxo
